“I just wanted to say thank you for taking W camp. He absolutely loved it. He showed us all around the camp, told us everything he had done, he is completely exhausted with engrained dirt all over him and he said that he would love to do it again. He also is very eager to continue into cubs too.
I am always aware of you and the other leaders and the time and effort that you put into these boys. I have not mentioned it before and I probably should have done but the need had never arisen. W dad died before he was born – he was killed in the World Trade Centre on 11th September and consequently W has never had a father in his life. I am now with a partner but that has only been recently but since W turned 6 I have noticed his interest in boys stuff now.
The Beavers has been brilliant for him and he wanted to stay even when his friend Dylan left.
Please pass on my thanks to everyone who helped this weekend and to say how much I appreciate the time and work that you put into these children. It does make a difference even when you don’t realise it. ”
