Process
For ages 17 and under please may we suggest you look at the relevant Section of our web site to see what’s involved. We are a very active Scout Group delivering a challenging programme for all ages and abilities, requiring them to do more than just turn up and talk to their friends! We equally appreciate some young people are simply better suited to perhaps a youth club or sports club, and are happy to discuss whether or not your child might prefer that to Scouting.
Then use the “contact us” option above to e-mail us – stating the child’s full name, date of birth, full home postal address and a contact teplehone number. We will reply by e-mail.
As a minimum we expect at least one adult in each household to obtain CRB clearance through us and take part in parent rotas etc (and the feedback we get from most of our adults is they actually find it fun, offering more help than they thought they would!)

Waiting List
Children may be placed on our waiting list once they have had their 4th birthday. We operate one waiting list for the entire Group so once your child is in a Section they will automatically be placed on the waiting list for the next Section unless you ask us not to.
Please note that we have a clear waiting list policy as to how any spaces which become available are offered.
Offer of a place
Once a space is offered for a child (this is by e-mail so look out for it) you will be given a specific time in which to complete and return all forms as well as have your CRB form checked (usually a maximum of 4-6 weeks). Your child will not be able to start until that is all done. If you don’t complete the paperwork as requested the space will be offered to the next child on our very long waiting lists!
