Sainsbury’s vouchers are back
Calling all parents and friends!
9th Muswell Hill Scout Group needs you to collect Sainsbury’s Active Kids vouchers.
It’s Sainsbury’s Active Kids time!
I’m pleased to tell you that we are taking part in Sainsbury’s Active Kids again this year. This represents an excellent opportunity for us to acquire extra equipment that we may not usually be able to provide for the Group.
A brief re-cap of how Sainsbury’s Active Kids works
From 9th February to 31st May 2011, you’ll receive one AKV for every £10 you spend at any main Sainsbury store or every £5 you spend in Sainsbury’s Locals or Centrals. You can also earn AKVs at Sainsbury’s petrol stations and when you shop online at sainsburys.co.uk
Please help us make this year even better!
Active Kids enabled us to claim lots of excellent things – at no extra cost to us. This year, we’ve got our eye on more things that’ll be invaluable to us. (I am looking at getting a parachute ! That’s a lot of vouchers!) Take a look at the online catalogue, at sainsburys.co.uk/activekids, to make suggestions of your own to us!
So please don’t forget to claim your AKVs – and make sure they reach us! Better still, it would be fantastic if you could urge your friends, neighbours, colleagues and anyone else you can think of to collect AKVs as well.
Every voucher counts – and we’ll make use of every one!
9th Muswell Hill 100 Club

Christmas Holidays
I would just like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy and peaceful new year
I hope to see you all on Thursday 13th January 2011 when the cubs and scouts return back after Christmas refreshed for a fun packed 2011
Finally I don’t normally mix business with scouting but I have come across an offer that I think is suitable for parents with young children as it makes the Internet both fun and safe

Best wishes
Recycled Uniform
Just a reminder that we are running a scouty stuff “recycling stall” (well, ok, a “recycling box” ).
It’s an ideal place to donate items as your child grows out of them. If you have any suitable good quality items (such as uniform or waterproofs) to donate please let us know.
Rest assured they get put to good use as we are then able to offer them to other families in our Scout Group for purchase, obviously cheaper than they could purchase new elsewhere
This allows every item you donate to benefit local scouting families by allowing them to make a donation to the group for any items of uniform that get donated which will go back into making sure we provide a fun pack and active program
Subs now due
Just a remimder that subs for this term are now due. £25 per member. Please pay within 4 weeks
Shopping Page
We now have a shopping page on our main menu, which links to this site for our scout group http://www.buy.at/9thmh
Every single transaction made through this shop raises money for our Scout Group. There are no hidden catches (and you know I will have looked!!!). You can buy the things you need and, without it costing you a penny extra, we benefit – at the click of a button.
The prices etc are exactly what you would get by going directly to the suppliers own site first, but with the benefit of them handing over cold hard cash to us.
So whatever the reason, birthdays, christmas, holidays, insurance please shop through our new site and help us raise much needed funds. One Scout Group has raised over £200 in just 3 months!
The shop can be used by anyone so please tell your friends, family, neighbours and work colleagues to consider helping us too If anyone would like some posters for home or work etc please let me knowand help us with fundraising.
We will receive any income by cheque within one month of the end of the previous month end, so the sooner we start shopping the sooner we make money
You can also help us to raise funds by changing your search engine to http://9thmhs.easysearch.org.uk/
