Ready for fun that’s a bit more adventurous?

Cubs are boys and girls aged between 8 and 10 1/2 , and they make up the second section of the Scout Group. The Cub Pack is split into smaller groups called Sixes, each one has a Sixer and a Seconder but to become one of those you have to earn the chance by trying your best to be a good Cub Scout. We normally have between 30- 40 Cub Scouts in our Pack but this is currently under review with a possible second cub pack opening to reduce the numbers and give the Beavers moving up a home (subject to finding help).

There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout. You will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, exploring, archery, Climbing and kayaking. If you do them properly you will get a badge which you can wear on your uniform. Even if you don’t know any of the others when you start you’ll soon have lots of new friends.

We often join up with our Beaver Colony or Scout Troop (or both!), and with Cubs from across the country, for more scouting fun and to help the local community.

Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm. For example our cubs recently slept in a Secret Nucleur Bunker and prior to that   on board HMS Belfast! Sometimes you will be able to go camping with the rest of your Pack. This will mean you sleeping in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities. For example in May we take part in the DC Challange camp and in July we have our group camp.

The Cub Scout Law (which you will need to know for when you are invested) is
